About the event
Wholehearted Documentation
4-Week Limited Size Cohort
Writing Notes That Protect, Humanize, and Liberate
Format: Live virtual cohort on Zoom
Dates: June 12 – July 3, 2026 (Fridays)
Time: 9:00–10:30 AM CST · 7 PST / 8 MST / 10 EST
CEUs: 6 Ethics CEUs
Cost: $150 through May 25 with code JUNE26-COHORT
Best for: Licensed clinicians, associates, supervisors, group practice owners
Prerequisite: None, the 3-hour CEU helps but isn't required
Registration: Closes June 11, or when seats fill
You finish a session. You open your notes. And you think:
What do I actually write here?
You want to honor your client’s story. You want to stay compliant. You want it to not take an hour. And right now in Texas with SB14, increased records scrutiny, and a shifting political landscape the stakes of what you write have never felt higher.
This training gives you a clear, grounded path forward: how to document ethically, protectively, and simply without sacrificing your values or your clients’ dignity. This 4-week cohort is where you actually build that practice. You'll bring real (anonymized) notes, write in the room, and leave each session with one concrete change to use before your next client.
Better documentation doesn’t mean more documentation. It actually means less.
“I wish I had gotten this in grad school 14 years ago.”

“One of the best CEUs I’ve taken in a long time.”
— M.S., LCSW
“I realized taking this training that EVERYONE has the same anxieties as me... and there is always room to learn and sharpen my skills.”
— A.O, LPC
“Kitty is a gifted presenter who packed a ton of information into a relatively short training without it feeling overwhelming... I felt she was just talking to me in her office.”
— M.H., LPC Supervisor

During the Cohort You Will Learn How To
Write trauma-informed, legally compliant notes in less time than you spend now without sacrificing protection or care
Embed treatment goals directly in your progress notes (no separate treatment planner document required), the gap most of us were never taught
Document for clients impacted by SB14, gender-diverse and LGBTQ+ clients, immigrants, and reproductive health contexts
Apply a clear decision framework at high-stakes documentation moments, so you stop freezing on the same questions
Connect your notes to billing, medical necessity, and the Medicare note standard, the practical loop grad school skipped
Talk with clients about their records, and work through ethical dilemmas with a framework you can hold
This Is For You If…
• You’ve been wanting to overhaul your documentation practice but haven’t had the structure or accountability to actually do it
• You want to write notes that protect your clients, protect you, and reflect your actual clinical judgment, not your anxiety
• You recognize the patterns that make documentation harder than it needs to be, the perfectionism, the avoidance, the dread, and you want a different relationship with your own documentation practice
• You work with clients from marginalized or at-risk populations and want a documentation practice that genuinely protects them
• You learn better alongside other people than on your own
• You need the CEUs and want them to be worth your Friday morning

Why This Training Exists
Because you're not imagining it. The landscape has shifted. And you deserve documentation practices that match your ethics, protect your clients, and are actually simpler to write. This CEU gives you the structure, phrasing, and strategy to document with confidence.
This cohort exists because of what clinicians kept telling us after the 3-hour version: "The framework makes sense. I just want more time to actually use it."
So we built that time in. Four Friday mornings, real notes, real practice, and real feedback.
What Clinicians Are Saying
"I'm so thankful this exists, and I wish we had gotten this training as a standard part of our degree or that I had at least found it as an associate."
— N.R., LPC
“I struggled with documentation since practicum doom, gloom, and shame for feeling like I can’t get it right. This training gave me practical skills that I can use to feel confident in my ability to advocate for clients and myself through documentation.”
— A.V., LMFT Associate
